The solid Parawood construction (hevea brasiliensis) has been sustainably harvested from rubber plantations after the trees have served their useful function. It has a similar hardness to black cherry which is also known for its overall strength.

This butcher block top has a durable, maintenance-free UV coating with a satin sheen highlighting the beautiful walnut brown-stained grain underneath. The standard urethane-based satin finish is safe for food contact, resistant to stains and most solvents, and cleans up with warm soapy water.

The T33892 is mostly face grain butcher block and may have some edge grain pieces. It can be easily cut to a custom size or shape using standard woodworking tools. Cut edges should be finished with polyurethane.
